BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: The launch guy goes SaaS mode.

An Indie what?

Boy, the police is coming for you.

No, Mom, I’m not a hacker. I’m going to build and launch software.

And your coaching..?

I’ll keep launching products for clients.

That’s what you get when you explain to your mom what an indie hacker is.

My palms are sweaty while typing this.

Because once in the open, there’s no way back.

The truth is I’m evolving.

AI is here to stay.

Before you jump up… I’m not becoming an AI influencer.

And I will not turn this newsletter into a daily AI news thing, either.

But I will start building micro Saas products.

Why…?

Because I believe AI-powered SaaS tools are the future of education.

You hear talks of…:

Vibe coding.
Vibe Marketing.

I’m going to make up a new term.

And that’s vibe chillin'.

Because following your heart has nothing to do with AI.

But everything with doing what you love.

Where does this come from?

Most of my top case studies are in the tech and AI space.

It was a lifelong dream to launch saas products.

But I never developed the skill.
(Blame it on my failure to understand maths.)

So one day, I was talking to a former client, Vinod.

A CTO powerhouse that builds software and leads a team of 100 people.

This guy is not just a vibe coder. He is the real deal.

I asked him: Shall we build something?

Before I knew it, we entered a hackathon.

We build something that sucked at first.

And it starts to get more form.

But…

We saw the potential of our collaboration.

So we said fuck it let’s do this.

Building in public.

For decades, I was operating behind closed doors.

The only way you can get to my launch secrets is by reading my newsletter.

Or…

Pay top $$$$ for consulting.

But indie hackers share their every move.

It will hurt my ego.

Because we will fuck up a lot…

You’ll see how we build a Saas business from scratch.

And my favourite part.

How we launch these saas projects.

At the end of the day, the launch concepts are the same.

Excitement is an understatement.

I’m a builder.

I can’t hide how excited I am for this journey.

I will keep on consulting.
I will keep sharing everything about launching stuff.

But mostly, I’ll focus on building and launching the next $100M saas start-up.

Dream big.

We'll talk soon,

Virgil “Startups are cool” Brewster.

P.S. If you’re curious about what our first project is.

Drums, please… Let me introduce myself, Discourage me.

P.P.S Vinod, my partner in crime, presented this idea at a local Indie Hacker meetup, and it won first prize in the fun category.

Holy shit, this kid is on fire. That was my first thought when I saw what Jay Yang was up to.Rewind to January 2023.I was dipping my toes on Twitter. And there was this kid, Jay Yang. He wrote like a beast. Showed up every day. And I was paying attention to his every move. This kid had what we called a Midas touch for building an audience. He was 17 at the time. We became friends, talked shit about marketing and launches. Then a few months later… The guy wrote a freaking book.WTF… I texted him....

It’s 3 AM. I’m wide awake.I’m touched by infinite intelligence. Ideas pour into your mind like a bright beam from heaven. I grabbed my phone and typed notes in the dark. Afraid I'd lose the magic if I turned on a light. By morning, I had 17 scattered bullet points that made zero sense. What seemed brilliant at 3 AM looked like complete garbage in daylight.A new note on top of the 327 half ass ideas. Sound familiar? Here's the painful truth: You don't have an idea problem. You have an...

Let’s fly to Ibiza. We bring a camera crew. We hire a big ass villa and a catamaran. The production value will be wild. When our clients see this, they throw money at us. This was one of the most embarrassing moments in my launch history. The product was called the Freedom Academy. We lost $20K shooting this thing. The result: $1200 in sales. They say pain is the best teacher.Well, this failed project taught me a lot about how not to launch things.Ever heard of product-market fit? The first time I...
