Launching a course is a whole different ball game

I couldn't stop laughing!

Tears were rolling down my face. A little voice in my head asked:

I was watching a video on YouTube.

It was about Huashan Mountain, a super scary hike.

This guy was really scared, crying and holding onto a cable while his feet were in the air.

I thought, "Why would someone scared of heights walk up high on a tiny wooden pathway?"

Anyways.

Later, I talked to someone I work with.

"How's your new course going?" I asked.

He looked as scared as the guy in the video.

"I haven’t started it yet. I'm stuck," he said.

Lots of people who build courses feel this way.

Making a course is fun.

You get to be creative, show who you are.

And share what you know.

But starting to sell it is scary.

This is where many people stop.

But not you, not today.

Set a Launch Date:

When you choose a day to start selling your course, tell everyone on Facebook, Twitter, or by email.

It helps you stick to your plan.

Get help:

If you're scared about starting, find someone who knows how to do it well.

It might cost some money, but they can help you a lot.

Yes, it costs money, but imagine if you could trick fear into success with a proven shortcut.

Look who is now dangling his feet 7,70 feet in the air, Mr fear.

Assemble a Launch Team:

The more visible you are, the more sales you’ll make.

So, you must form partnerships.

Your launch partners will help you promote your course.

Generate Buzz:

Remember when people started talking about the latest iPhone?

Your job is to make people excited.

And the easiest way to get people excited is to show your excitement.

Excitement + your stories + your personality = Hype

In short, share your stories.

Make people as excited about your course as they are about new toys or games.

Share your excitement and stories.

Are you holding on to a cable in fear of your launch?

Holy shit, this kid is on fire. That was my first thought when I saw what Jay Yang was up to.Rewind to January 2023.I was dipping my toes on Twitter. And there was this kid, Jay Yang. He wrote like a beast. Showed up every day. And I was paying attention to his every move. This kid had what we called a Midas touch for building an audience. He was 17 at the time. We became friends, talked shit about marketing and launches. Then a few months later… The guy wrote a freaking book.WTF… I texted him....

It’s 3 AM. I’m wide awake.I’m touched by infinite intelligence. Ideas pour into your mind like a bright beam from heaven. I grabbed my phone and typed notes in the dark. Afraid I'd lose the magic if I turned on a light. By morning, I had 17 scattered bullet points that made zero sense. What seemed brilliant at 3 AM looked like complete garbage in daylight.A new note on top of the 327 half ass ideas. Sound familiar? Here's the painful truth: You don't have an idea problem. You have an...

Let’s fly to Ibiza. We bring a camera crew. We hire a big ass villa and a catamaran. The production value will be wild. When our clients see this, they throw money at us. This was one of the most embarrassing moments in my launch history. The product was called the Freedom Academy. We lost $20K shooting this thing. The result: $1200 in sales. They say pain is the best teacher.Well, this failed project taught me a lot about how not to launch things.Ever heard of product-market fit? The first time I...
